hey, I've edited the source files for quake2max .44 to include widescreen resolutions, but I don't own visual c++, nor do I know how to compile the code. If I can convince somebody to compile this for me, then we'd all have access to a widescreen version of quake2max. Is anyone able to do this? |

quake2max is another quake2 sourceport, like quake2evolved. Quake2max looks better though, IMHO. the next version of quake2evolved looks pretty awsome, I mean the one with the bumpmaps and shadows and all. However, its not out yet, and its gonna probably require a pretty beefy graphics card. And it'll dramatically change the look of the game. Quake2max looks great, while maintaining the basic look and feel of the game. |

Need to register (and pay! :shock:) at FilePlanet to download Q2Max, which I'm not going to do. There should be freeware C++ compilers available on the 'net, or failing that, they seem to be provided on the cover of PC Magazines quite frequently.
