I just had a question on the 1.4 patch. I've searched the forums and come upon some info, but I was wondering what exactly happens on widescreen displays? Are there boxes placed on the left and right? Other than that, is the image still clear as if you were playing on a normal aspect ratio? I ask because I had installed Warcraft III, and the stretching makes it too horrendous to play. I have Warhammer on the way (second copy, one for each computer) and was wondering if it just forces normal ratio, which I don't mind as long as my image quality isn't stretched. Perhaps a screenshot like using the 'Print Screen' button or something would help me get an idea.

I just got my widescreen laptop about 2 weeks ago, and I am very thankful I stumbled upon this site. Glad this is out there for us new onto the scene :D

It does this - annoying, but not impossible to deal with. ;)

Yea, I don't mind the normal aspect ratio, I just can't stand the stretching. So as long as it doesn't stretch I will be content

I can see 1600x900 in warhammer40k video option(maybe that's what patch1.3 left) but it never works . 1280x1024 is the max resolution .

So if my screen is 1280 x 800, and I play on the resolution of 1024 x 768, will there just be black bars on the left and right? That's why I was wondering if anyone had not necessarily a screenshot, but a print screen so I can see exactly what is on your screen and how much of it it takes up. I just want to confirm that it doesn't stretch the image like Warcraft III.

Can you use the res in Windows? If you can't, then that's why it won't work. :)
