Basically I have a laptop with a ati gfx card and I can run games at 1024 768 and the screen still stretches full on such demos as 2142 demo and the medievil 2 total war demo. On my other laptop it doesnt do this i have to use workarounds to get the res to its native 1280 800 otherwise they dont fill, and when i do this is get fps headaches!!

Can any 1 help with this?

If you're using the Catalyst Control Panel, you should be able to open it up go to "Flat Panel Display" (something like that, at least) and set it to keep the aspect ratio. There may be a centered or 1:1 option as well, can't remember...Using Omega drivers atm.

If you're using the regular ATi Control Panel, then go to Displays, click on your panel, and select "Expand while maintaining aspect ratio" or just uncheck "Scale Image".
