This is a weird one ... gametrailers.com have some videos of the PC version of R6 Vegas.
The guy playing the game doesn't seem to have played many FPS on the PC ... he is not too good ...  ... maybe he is using a controller ...

Anyway ... you can see it is the PC version by the keyboard icons that appear ... now here's the odd part ...

It's in widescreen and the HUD is correct for widescreen ...

Theories anyone ?
Is the whole thing stretched to look like widescreen or is there a widescreen version for the PC out there somewhere ?

Have to say, it all looks a little stretched to me. They look a bit chubby.
And yes, he sucks.

This is without a doubt stretched. Look at the HUD borders around the screen, they are way broader on the sides then on the top and bottom of the screen.
Also the crosshair isn't round as are the "action options" for your team mates on the bottom left.
And offcourse teammates suddenly gained a couple of pounds.

And MY GOD, does he suck. He does use a gun with what you can hardly see what your shooting at because of the flames though.

The videos are 1280x720. The game natively supports this resolution.

This resolution is technically is HD, but not true widescreen HD like 1360x768; 1920x1080; etc.

Also, a lot of times sites like GT release media that is said to be HD, but all this means is the video files resolution corresponds to 720i which again is technically HD and can be displayed correctly (in fullscreen) on such things like an HD TV at it be in the correct ratio. This doesn't meant the actual source, the game, was running in the same resolution as the final rendered video file though.

I could be wrong about all of this, but this is my take based on what I know about this game and general aspect ratios and video rendering in general...

Hmm, weird, I'm sure things are stretched. Guess the FOV doesn't change then, just the res. :(

May be it is stretching ... he does say he could be wrong.
I think what he said here is more likely ... you just said it a different way ... ...

I can't beleve it's an official UBI vid as the player is sooooooo bad ! ...

You're not missing anything, but I'd recommend giving them a screenshot of the display properties in which 1 contiguous 5040-wide screen is visible and one screenshot showing 3 separate 1680-wide screens. That'll ram the point home.
