Hi all!

First i must give my congrats to GRID'sTEam. This is very nice Game for Pc -Game.

Now i have a very Big Problem. I Have a PciE VGA Card HD3850 whit 256MB of Vram. Intel [email protected] and 2024 DDR2 800mhz under Vista 32.

The Game "Grid Demo" start at 640 x 480 and if i set the resolution i can't choise the 1680 x 1050.

Ok i have Read The "Helper file" but this is a Bad choise for all 256Mb VGA User.

I Have Play alot of Game whit this Card whitout problem [.ndr] At Medium/High Quality.

Please can't leave this Limit ? If you can't leave i have to play max 1280x1024 on 22' 1680x1050 and the Quality is very poor.

Are you using newer video drivers?

If you have AA on it takes a lot of vram.
Or try changing Triple Buffering option in video drivers.

Try turning it OFF. (in game)

But it IS a demo, and they are often not-near-complete, so problems like that are expected.

I hope in this.

I use catalyst 8.4 .

I set Off AA but the max re is 1280x1024 :(

Try this:

Use wordpad to open My DocumentsCodemastersGRID Demohardwaresettingshardware_settings_config.xml and about 10 lines down you can see 'height=' and 'width='


Change thsoe the whatever you like, save it, and exit. IF you try the game again the the same problems happens, make that change again and make teh .xml file Read-Only and try the game again.

vii) Why can’t I choose a higher screen resolution?

Higher resolutions require large amounts off video RAM. If GRID detects that your primary graphics card has less than 512MB of RAM, higher resolutions will be made unavailable to avoid poor performance and potential graphical issues.

So ... I think you are out of luck ... :(
