Post subject:  Strike Suit Zero Alpha and Natural Selection 2 Beta Cam Footage

Yello, so last weekend I popped on down to Rezzed which was a new PC and Indie games show in the UK, and while I was there I got some camera footage of a couple of the games that was there.

First up is Strike Suit Zero, which was running an Alpha build at the show, the game is a Space Combat Simulator that is taking inspiration from the usual suspects, Freespace, Wing Commander, Tie Fighter. As stated the game is still in an early alpha but they are still adding to it based on feedback from the community, for example, the joystick controls we was using in this video was added just before the show. They are also working on a cockpit view but that wasn't finished yet, they also want to implement multi-monitor support which is great news for me ^^

This is camcorder footage so audio video quality isn't great but it should be passable, the people you might hear in the background is myself and Delphium (who was playing first) talking to the developers, including the CEO of Born Ready, the people making the game.

Next up is a Developer walkthough for Natural Selection 2, a standalone version of the original Half Life mod, developed in there own engine and fully modable, the developers also give you access to the original source code.

Post subject:  I haven't played the newest

I haven't played the newest build of NS2. CJM said he didn't like it.

Hugh is a nice guy. Did he say for sure multi-monitor support? I know about the community fix (that is linked in the DR), but will it ship with support?

Post subject:  He said the community was

He said the community was looking into fixing it, he also said the observer system in the game was written by the community so take that to mean that the community is working on it and if it works well it'll make it into the game. At least that's how I took his meaning.
