imagine that - eyefinity 6 card + 6 zotac dual hdmi adapters + 12x Th2go - 36x1L :welcome LOL

It'll smack right into the 8000 pixel width limitation. SoftTH and projection pre-warping software are incompatible.

Where were you able to get it in Canada? I've been pining four Eyefinity +1 but I've been too cheap to shell out 80 bucks for a mini-DP to whatever adapter.

http://www.pricebat.ca/zt-dp2hd-zotac-displayport-to-dual-hdmi-adapter-up-1920x1080/

I got it from amazon (UK) but they sent out from DE - total cost after conversion is ~57-58$

80$ for any dp adapter is a nonsense, I am using dp @ vga from China for 12$ and enough for me

this dual hdmi i bought for fun

UPDATE

Adapter arrived on monday and I fully tested it:

- XP + WIN7 plug and play
- working with all dual monitor res (3840x1080/3360x1050/3200x900/2560x1024 etc)
- adapter can run single monitor without any problem
- adapter is active so possible to run 3 monitors dvi + dvi + dp @ hdmi single (or dual)

-on windows XP i had problems to do extended desktop from mixed 2560x1024 on dual hdmi + matrox triplehead2go (two outputs 2560x1024), so goal was 2560x2048 res but not succes, on windows 7 dualhdmi + matrox - no problem and i run 4 monitors on hd5450 easy (one matrox output and dsub on card was not plugged)

- its possible to configure triple screen res (I tested it for 5040x1050) on hd5450 in windows 7*
1. one monitor plugged to DVI and two on DP @ dual HDMI so 1680x1050 + 3360x1050
2. two monitors plugged to DVI (@ matrox dualhead) and only one plugged to DP @ dualHDMI adapter

hi res pics

Got word from Zotac. What little I can understand of their broken English, at least they confirm it's an Active adapter. No idea if it has a DP 1.2 requirement yet. Just know in the message that they have zero feedback yet on any AMD Eyefinity use with it.

Hello Brad

The product will be an Active adapter.

We have much success with our customers using our adapters with our motherboards, video cards, and even MAC products. We have yet to hear any feedback from customers using any type of graphics card though our product should be able to handle AMD products well.

I've purchased 3 of them. They shipped from Zotac on 2/21. UPS estimates delivery on 2/27.

Initially going to test if they work at all with a non-DP1.2 card like the 5870. From there I'll do 6x1L with 6 projectors I have. 1280x800 x6 is under the 8k pixel width limit for the 5870 series. Anything over 3x1L isn't viable for anything other than flight sims or planetarium software. that being said it fills a need for them, so it's worth testing to see. :)
