[quote]So I just Saw this:

It was posted on another thread. Is there an ETA on the driver release?

WTF.. So they have it up their sleeve. Before we know it they got PLP working

I'm also very interested in what quality they are running DIRT 2. Things never seem to run that fluently as on the video with me.

Maybe they OC'd the snot out of them cards?
Well Dirt 2 isn't that Hard of a Game to Run at max. But really, when they demo something they always polish the system up so that it looks way better, this means that they don't have a random soup of parts either. But we all know that Dirt 2 Was the flag ship for eyefinity anyway.

Wasn't the rig on the right powered by one of those 5970 4GB Rog(?) cards?

DIRT 2 is running OK @ max in-game, it's just the trailer/map/outside selection screens that seem to run choppy..

Yeah, sort of.. it's the XFX counterpart: Limited edition with 4GB and "stock" OC to 5870 levels, not that special (except for the 4G's 8) ). They probably also have a 980X on board :nudgenudge

A) Will 'Northern Islands' hardware eventually be capable of PCIE 3.0, or is that known? PCIE 3.0's bandwidth would likely make Tri/Quadfire+Eyefinity a lot more practical.

B) Was the 'Lightweight Notification' spec AMD added to PCIE 3.0 intended (in part) to be useful for Crossfire, in order for graphics cards to communicate directly to each other, and if yes do you still think it will be?

[quote][quote]Do you think Crossfire + Eyefinity will ever work as advertised?

Till now, I thought it was a driver issue but I understand it could also be a crossfire connector/bandwidth issue.

Thank you.

Is there an update on this yet as there is still lots of people have problems with eyefinity and crossfire, Choppy graphics and reduced frame rates when crossfire is enabled are still a major issue

Ditto on can we PLEASE get some sort of official word on this? I don't want to drop another 3-600.00 and find out it's nothing but a paperweight. :doh (Eyefinity is THE reason I took off the "green shirt" and put on a "red" one!)

ditto and i really regret it. Without bezel compensation, it feels pretty pointless. Too bad they're telling me I'll never get it unless i buy yet another monitor.

You know, can you just release the driver you used at Computex? There's people, including me, looking to use 5x1.

I was wondering if this windows flickering is being worked on. Right now my set up is... put up . and am using just 1 card and 1 monitor because of this . Would really like to know if I should just sell both my cards and try nvidia. This Issue with eyefinity and crossfire is real. and here are just a couple of videos of other people having this problem. I can send feedback until I'm blue in the face. but, just a ya or nay. on whether this is getting worked on would be nice . so I can make a decision on what route to go. is it possible that this could at least be put in the known issues in the release notes. so we can see that ATI is aware of the issue.

Is there any word about the $30 ATI active DP to DVI converter?
