Perhaps I'll just get three mini DP to DP cables to keep things all the same and neat.

EDIT: Saying that, doesn't seem they are that common... Will have to be converters then...

I'm with you. Go for nice and neat. Here they are at MonoPrice. Bout half way down.

I wonder if the packaged dvi adapters offer dvi-i or just dvi-d.
I haven't read anything on dp mini offering vga passthrough, so if they don't package some special adapters that bring it out with dvi-i, you will probably need 6 active dp>vga adapters

I'm curious to know the physical size of this card. Hoping its not as big as the 5970....

Very excited to sell my dual SLI GTX 285s and try Eyefinity. Just have to get a card and a 3rd U2410.

As far as I can tell it's just a 5870 with different port out setup.

With this thing you could run 18 monitors using 6 triplehead2go's. Granted they would only go to 3840x1024 each but it would be impressive none-the-less.

11520x2048 (45:8 Aspect) No I surely doubt you can render anything at that res in DirectX but that would still be massively impressive.

And now that I think about it, it's possible to do a 3x3 format with a normal 5870 and 3 triplehead2go's. Though it you wanted any sort of wide screen it would have to be lower resolution than 1280x1024 per panel, and you would get really any aspect advantage. :/

Does anyone know if Eyefinity 6 will support 5 X 1 or 6 X 1, depending on display resolution. As I understand it, Eyefinity 6 has a 8K X 8K pixel limit when it comes to output resolutions. BTW. This is similar to Dual Quadraplex...

Yes, someone knows. :D

5x1 is not currently supported. 6x1 is currently supported. The limit of 8K in any dimension must be adhered to independently of the monitor configuration.

You would think we would support any arbitrary nx1 configuration, yet we don't at this time. That will come later.
