Aww man, I figured they would sell like hotcakes so I was refreshing the page every 30 min all night last night until the first card came in stock it was the HIS @ $379 seeing as how prices were higher at other stores and the next card that came in stock was Diamond @ $385 I ordered the HIS.

But now tonight I see the Asus card is in stock and that is the one I really wanted, Asus as a company is great and has a great warranty but they are also the only ones offering this "Voltage Tweak" for the HD 5870 that supposedly lets you boost the voltage of the card for a higher OC.

I am 99.9% sure I can just flash the Asus bios to my HIS card and use the software but I would rather not have to do that.

Anybody know if HIS has a good warranty and good customer service, this is my first card from them.

Its crunch time, I need to finish my desk and my room today, my 3x24" Monitors are all due here by fedex, I have 2 more days probably for the video card I did rush processing but forgot to see how much the faster shipping would be.

Monoprice is the one behind now, I got 2x DVI cables from them and a HDTV mount and my order has not even shipped yet.

Oh and for Display Port cable I got that from newegg w/ my card they have one for $15 w/ free ship. Monoprice where I usually get my cables from has no DP cables in stock.

**Dont forget to use Bing.com cashback with newegg, its only 2 or 3% but its still money, I got like $9.00 back for my order and it was instant cashback.

Strictly looking at the warranties I'd only go XFX.

Yeah they have lifetime limited I think right?

However I know Asus covers ANYTHING in those 3 years I am not sure what "limited" means. I never keep a card more than 3 years anyways.

Also the voltage thing is a gimmick. You can do that with all the 5870. Just need to use a OCing utility.

See thats where there is confusion, some guys at XS said it does raise the voltage, on the other hand seen reports that you can OC without it with the AMD GPU tool, I know about this tool I use it on my laptop with dual 4870s in it, but I also know that in the past (my current desktop 4850's) that you can increase voltage of the gpu at a software (bios) level.

So its a very real and plausible concept that Asus has software to raise the voltage on the fly via software for there card for a higher OC.

I'll wait and see what unfolds, if I find that it does the voltage increase I'll flash my bios and use it. I didnt like to flash my bios with a higher voltage for 24/7 stuff because the card runs hotter, but if I can do it on the fly via software it would be great for a few games that need the extra power like Crysis.
