Or is it not supported just like crossfire? Since it's pretty much the same deal.

And will 3x1920x1080 "5760x1080" be a working res?

When we see one we will see the other.

Nope the drivers still don't support crossfire, however I would really really hope that come release day it will be included.

I am just disappointed that it is:
a) Down-clocked by so much, I cannot use CF on my mobo
b) Not 2x2GB :(

So I guess I will wait for factory OC'd or decent after-market air coolers come out so I can OC it to at least the equiv of 2 5870 in CF.

That's what I meant: Once we see 5970's on store shelves we will see drivers that work with them (and crossfire getups) with eyefinity.

ATi is in absolutely no hurry to get it out the door, buggy or not.

I have to say, i had bought a 5870 anyday in the week if they weren't so bloody hard to get my hands on.

So i'm going with 5970 instead, but eyefinity can work with 3x1920x1080 right?

Yes. If you can find it, and then afford it, then do it!

have you tested them with CF and Eyefinity or is it just an assumption ?

No this is not an assumption, no released drivers (until just NOW) have supported CF and EF together

However it has all changed, those that want CF 5870s and EF will be waiting til next year but the 5970 is now working.

5970 == "5870X2"
5970 << CF 5870
No 4Gb?
"Overdrive up-to 1GHz" ad but crashing already at 800MHz?
O, RLY? WTF?
I was waiting not for this. Adding 10FPS@5760x1200 to my 4870x2 for $600? Who do they think they are?

OC results will obviously vary, but if you read the reports from the guys with higher capacity PSU's their results are generally better.
