After I installed 10.3 I can not get my current mode setting above 3840 X 1024 for my three Dell E228WFP monitors. If I go to just one monitor i can get my 1680 X 1050 back but with all three it will no longer give me the option for 5040 X 1050. I have spent a good bit of time on this and cant find a fix, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Strange. Do a full driver uninstall and use driver sweeper in safemode to remove any old ATI traces http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/.

Then install 10.3b. http://sites.amd.com/us/underground/tips/Pages/catalyst-10-3-preview.aspx

Thanks for the reply. I did as you suggested with no success. I do feel better after having the driver sweep and reinstalled.

Not sure if i can but I may try and see if i can get the older version loaded and see if it comes back.

And now my concerns is that it may be the monitor that is connected by Display port that is limiting the resolution. I only think this because in the Catalyst Control Center the attributes and panel information for the DP monitor are all listed as FAKE, where as the other two DVI connected monitors that have max res (1920X1080) and max refresh at 75 hz. The DP monitor is also listed as a Generic Non-PNP Monitor where the other two are Generic PNP Monitor

Thanks again,

Stuck in low res

Hi

Yes I would also suspect the adapter but it is peculiar that it was working before in a different driver release. I also use an adapter, the Apple active one but it works in all driver releases so far.

It does get stuck in low resolution on restart some times. If that happens I have to reset the adapter by unplugging/replugging the USB connection.

Possibly try resetting the adapter a few times, try using different USB connections (perhaps its a power problem), Try connecting the adapter to the other monitors.

Good luck I hope you manage to fix it.
