I loaded up this game that came with my Radeon 5850 card and added my extra two monitors later.

The game comes up on one screen only and there is no menu pick or button or anything to change the game settings.

Can anyone tell me where you go to change the resolution in this game?

Thanks

Michelle

Hi there,
Dirt2's menu system is indeed a bit... confusing at first. Once you're in the game, you have to select 'Outside' to exit the caravan then "turn right" a couple times. The 'Options' menu is right after the 'News' thingy, to the right of your current vehicle.

That's about the only thing I dislike about that game: floating through redundant menus and having to wait through the animations. Very annoying. So much so that, a couple times, I chose not play something else just to get to the action a few seconds sooner.

Indeed I often end the process rather than navigate to the exit option which takes far to long :D.

You know a dev has done something wrong when people choose to kill a process the hard way rather than use the menu.

Of course, with the amount of EPIC FAIL that Dirt 2's menu is, I'm not surprised in the slightest. When I picked that up at Christmas, I was hoping it was gonna give me as much amusement as GRID did, but the horrible menu just made me give up and go buy NFS: Shift for something different, and also head back to GTR Evo...

That and the AI enjoying slamming me into walls. I mean, they shunt me straight into a wall, then accelerate off like they had warp drive installed. 0-100 in 0.001 seconds, I swear.

I dunno... Most cross-platform games react pretty well to Alt+F4, so what the heck ? Kinda makes up for the stupid mandatory checkpoint autosaves.
The only very annoying thing about the "first-person menus" in Dirt2 is the unskippable post-race sequence: "I'm outside, I look left, I look right, I turn around and finally enter the caravan..." Argh. And all we hear about is how much time is wasted in MW2's lobby. Kids, don't make me laugh!
