Post subject: | Eyefinity Grouping Issues. Ugh!!! |
Alright, so here's the deal. I'm currently running a Gigabyte 5970. I got my new NEC EA231WMi's today. I got two of them set up in a group with bevel management and everything working just fine. I'm waiting on my Displayport cable to show up, so I've been dinking around with my two monitors for the day. Well, I had it all set up just the way I wanted. Then I thought "Hey, it'd be great to set up both an Eyefinity and extended profile so I can swap between the two!" Bad Idea. Upon creating a new profile, I was prompted that I'd have to ungroup my monitors. Sure, that's exactly what I wanted to do. Well, I'm now having some issues, and I have no idea where they are coming from. Long story short, now, if I plug in both of my DVI-D connected Monitors, they essentially go to standby mode. As soon as I unplug one of them, the other will come back on. Before this, I was having issues while trying to set up Eyefinity for the second time, as it kept assigning ALL the pixels to a single display, while leaving the second display blank. If anyone has some insight, I'd love to hear it. I'm running the 10.3 preview drivers that were released on the 16th. I have uninstalled and scrubbed my registry, and reinstalled, but to no avail. I seem to think this is an issue in windows, but honestly, I'm out of ideas. Other things I've found. If I reboot the PC, it will boot with both monitors duplicated, but one has a significant delay between boot screens. If I do this, I can get them to run in the correct resolution in either extended mode, or duplicate mode. However, I have significant noise/artifacting on the secondary monitor when doing things like resizing windows. I have tried reverting to 10.2. No dice. Images of how things look when I try to set it up: At this point, I'm fresh out of ideas, other than reinstalling windows and CCC. |
