Hi, I currently have a frankenstein eyefinity setup, with 3 different 19 inch monitors and each of them is from a different year and manufacturer, I'm planning to add some consistency to this setup, I will cut the long stories, and simply ask:

How does eyefinity handle monitors with different resolutions?

If I have a 22 inch with a 1680 x 1050 resolution, and two 19 inchers on the left and right, each with a resolution of 1440 x 900, will it letterbox the 22 inch? If not, is there a way I could make it letterbox, so the 22 inches picture would line up with the 19 inch ones?

Thanks in advance! :bowdown

Yes and No. You can get it to letter box, but I'm not sure if the pixel densities are the same, so it may not exactly line up.

Go into Catalyst Control Center
Under the "Graphics" Tab, go to "Desktops Properties"
Select the 22"
Change the Resolution to something smaller than 1680x1050 (1440x900 would be good) [You must do this for the next step to be available]
Hit Apply
Under the "Graphics" Tab, go to "Desktops and Displays"
On the bottom on the window, got to the 22" Monitor and right click
Hit "Configure"
Click the Checkbox next to "Enable GPU scaling"
Select "Use centered timings"
Hit Apply

Now you should have it letterboxed.

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to know. I missed the opportunity to get the 24 or the 22 incher, unfortunately, but I'm still going to get a 20 inch center monitor, so still relevant.
:cheers
