I have my eyefinity equipment ready to be setup, but I'm still missing a display port adapter. I preordered the Accell DP > DVI Active Single Link Adapter from amazon.com, but I don't know when it will be shipped out. Would a display port to hdmi adapter work the same as the dvi or vga adapter? Also does the DP>HDMI or VGA adapter need to be a specific type(active) or will any brand of those adapters work? Can anyone provide me with configuration suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!!

LG L246wp - HDMI, VGA
2x Dell 2407wfp - DVI, VGA
XFX ATI Radeon 5770

Would this adapter work?

There seems to be a bit of hit and miss results with all the displayport adapters. I did alot of research before deciding on which solution to try and get my 3x1080p monitors up and running off a 5870 video card. I went with the HP active displayport to vga adapter:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812115005

I got this little beauty for around $20 in Australia and it has worked ALMOST perfectly. The only issues I have had are very occassionally the screen connected to the adapter will blink out for less than a second (this has happened only 4 or 5 times over a few months) and when I shut my pc down I need to manually switch off the vga monitor because it won't go into power save with the pc off. It does go into powersave fine when the pc is on though.
I consider these issues to be very minor considering the cost of the adapter and the emersion that eyefinity has brought to my gaming.
BTW the visual difference between vga and dvi is almost non existant. Noone that has checked out my rig in person has been able to tell which monitors are running dvi and which is the vga just by looking at the image quality.
