I built some platform shelving to put on my desk. It's in two tiers. On the first tier is my XBOX 360 and a few other items. On the second tier I put the three 24-inch LCDs. It works great and without the added cost of mounting hardware.

i use 3 42inch led's and its supurb.
as for shelves, just go to ikea and you can get the shelve units and desk very cheaply.

i saw this thread and was thinking man, even with all that floor gaming is still weaksauce one some lametoast, even sitting on the floor the monitors are just too low.
