Post subject:  Mantle API and Star Swarm

Exciting day in gaming with Mantle driver releasing. I'm at work, so I haven't fired it up, but has anyone tried the Star Swarm benchmark utility on a triple monitor setup? Any noticeable improvement over regular DX11 drivers?

But AFAIk AMD Mantle driver aren't out yet!
There were news about 13.35 leaked Mantle driver for Lenovo (?) Laptops. but you can't download them anywhere!

Yeah, word on the street is that AMD is having issues with the 14.1 beta and are not likely to get it out the door today, despite numerous promises of a January release and despite numerous sites having reported the 14.1 beta as being imminent as of 1/30/2014.

@catalystmaker seems to have the latest updates and is indicating the drivers won't be out today after all. It's a shame, but AMD has obviously been struggling to get frame pacing+crossfire+eyefinity support ironed out since August. Add in a new hardware release along with Mantle and I don't guess it's any surprise it's taking longer than expected.

Just wish AMD had tempered my expectations a little better, but glad they're hard at work on it all.

*Edit: avoid the 13.35 betas if you find them, it's been confirmed that they are not complete.

The FPS (frames) went up with Mantle, but both looked pretty bad. Odd thing, but neither my CPU nor GPU were anywhere near 100% load during either test. By reducing the motion blur in the settings file greatly increased FPS and looked better IMHO.
