Hello all, i am planning to go for a 20" 900x1600 / 32" 2560x1440 / 20" 900x1600 PLP setup. I want to buy the 32" very soon, and the two 20" and a suitable graphics card later (maybe in around 5 to 9 months, depends on how long my current old games keep me busy, when GTA 5 and Fallout 4 will be on sale, and maybe what the next GPU generation may bring). The main contenders for 32" are ASUS PB328Q (639 € in here Germany) and Samsung S32D850T (501 €). Or maybe BenQ BL3200PT (479 €) or Philips BDM3270QP (464 €). The sides: Probably HP EliteDisplay E202 (189 €), or maybe Dell Professional P2014H (166 €). My question is: Does the ASUS display's 75 Hz refresh rate do any good in combination with the 60 Hz side monitors? It's the main reason why I consider the ASUS - if not, I'd rather save those ~ 140 €. Thanks! R6h EDIT: fixed typo |

I bought the ASUS when there was an ebay offer for only 579 €. Can't answer my own question though, since I have no Eyefinity capable card yet (but two Geforce GTX 570). |

There was a guy who had an eyefinity group with a 85hz crt in the center and 2 60hz lcds on the side. It *worked*, but he had tearing on the side lcds due to not being able to sync to the refresh rate of the center monitor. Plus it required a weird work around (iirc). Honestly I'd keepb them all the same refresh rate when in eyefinity. Especially because vertical is way harder to ignore during gameplay. |

Thanks for your answer. Quote: Especially because vertical is way harder to ignore during gameplay. Sorry, I don't understand. Vertical as in portrait? Do you mean he was using LLL, and different refresh rates are even worse in PLP? Anyway, there will probably always be games I'll play on a single monitor, so I can play those in 75 Hz. Plus the ASUS has a slimmer non-reflecting bezel. So the 80 € price premium over the Samsung were well spent. |

Looking forward to your experience with PLP and different refresh rates Be sure to tell us about it. |

OK, but please be patient. In the meantime, it became even more likely that I'll wait for the next GPU generation. Hopefully, that will bring a PLP-capable R9 390 successor or much lower R9 Nano prices. |

Hehe. R9-390 successor will arive mid year. Polaris 10 Chip. Fury will have to wait until Christmas or even 2017. Gesendet von meinem LENNY2 mit Tapatalk |

I got my Gigabyte RX 480 G1 Gaming 8G this week. These are my observations with Radeon Software Version 16.10.2:
