OK, this one just threw me. I got a new i7 with a GTX285 and Win7 installed. I hooked up my analog TH2G with my three 19" monitors to one of the GTX ports, and connected a 4th 27" monitor to the second port (this was my configuration on my "old" computer). I then booted the new computer expecting to install the TH2G software. But Windows booted with the three 19" monitors ALREADY showing a 3840 x 1024 resolution. I even loaded up FSX and it let me set it to 3840 x 1024, and it runs at that resolution just like I had a full TH2G analog installation WITH the TH2G software installed.

Can somebody enlighten me as to what is going on? Did Win7 and the GTX285 combine by themselves to allow a 3-wide surround gaming environment with JUST the analog TH2G HARDWARE hooked up? And no TH2G software installed? And the 4th 27" monitor works fine too.

I'm totally confusticated right now. How the heck did I get the 3-wide without installing the TH2G software?

Powerdesk is only needed to configure the TH2Go and get desktop management tools. Your Triplehead is already setup, so it doesn't need any further configuration.

I was confused similarly in XP when I automatically was able to select 4320x900 when I got my triplehead. It was because (at the time) my TH2go has the latest firmware and came with the latest (at the time) software.
