I think we were all hoping/expecting that the TripleHead2Go DP Edition would be of benefit to us. However, it turns out that Matrox is targeting this device at a different market. There's nothing wrong with that, and I'm sure Mac home users, PC laptop users, and many businesses have a desire for this sort of product.

Yes, it's true that there are no high-end gaming GPUs with DP outputs. But keep in mind that the TripleHead2Go DP Edition isn't available yet, either. Hopefully both will come to the market at or near the same time.

And if you really want gaming horsepower to use with the TripleHead2Go DP Edition, go buy an Alienware M17x laptop.
- Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core CPU with 12MB cache and 1066 MHz FSB
- GeForce 9400M G chipset
- Dual 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs in SLI
- 8GB DDR3 @ 1333 MHz

It will eat you desktop alive for a mere $5,500. :)

I would hope that price includes TH2Go DP, 3 24" monitors (Dell, of course), TIR and maybe a good joystick and wheel too, lol.

That is bit on the steep side, imo. But, I'm sure there is a market for it, or it wouldn't exist ;)

I had my dp edition today and didn't know that I couldn't input an adaptor to DVI. So the hardware is totally useless. I will send it tomorrow to my shop to see if he can change it for a digital one.. but MAtrox did it totally wrong when didn't put on FAQ. Only said about monitors. should said on big letters:
"if your card don't have a displayport it won't work"
