I also noticed when updating to the new firmware when you use single monitor setup everything is on the left monitor not the middle anymore :/

There is a fix for this on these forums, using the 'swap dispays' option in the Matrox PowerDesk

Anyone have it working with GTX8800 512s?

I'll give it a shot tonight.

Still running 182.50 with the new Beta Powerdesk.

Well, not only did it NOT work; but for some reason, something told my Matrox box not to stretch the third monitor so it's now at a slightly lower hz rate and not filling the screen. When attempting to go into 5040x1050, even though PowerDesk says it's sending 57hz signal, the monitors are all stretching like they should, but at 50hz and causing a native resolution issue.

So, anyone have a link to the previous edition of PowerDesk? I apparently didn't save a copy.

Even after uninstalling and reinstalling 182.50 and PowerDesk 2.05.00.020, I get the third monitor issue and low hz issue at 5040x1050.

I even attempted to reset to manufactory specs and have the same issue.

Any ideas?

Hi Guys,

I was forced to do a fresh install of Windows Vista x64 due to funky stuff happening. I was going to go back to the setup that I knew let me "trick" my monitors into working at 5040x1050@60hz from before with the following driver versions Nvidia 180.48 & GXM 2.4.0.11.

Thought I'd give it a whirl with the 190.56 Drivers and GXM 2.05.00.020 as suggested. Pretty much didn't have to do anything special except load it all up and it worked (this is going to annoy those who are having trouble). But I wanted to get back to as close to 5040x150@60hz as possible due to my monitors having a nag screen when at 57hz.

These are the settings I've used to get 5040x1050@59hz which is close enough for my monitors to not nag me. I used the Mattsimms method the same as last time. I did have to reflash my TripleHead2Go so that is was Firmware 2.3.40 - Video Table Version 6.56 for it to work other than that it only took a couple of attempts at entering the custom rez for it to stick.

Hope the settings help someone.

EDIT: Something (guessing the GXM) keeps periodically overwriting/deleting the 5040x1050@59HZ rez so this doesn't work correctly. However the original 5040x1050@57Hz is still there. If someone can figure out how to stop the custom setting being deleted I'll be golden.

Confirmed working with 200-series. :D

Interesting - I Just installed a new i7/920 rig with windows 7 x64 (Final) and my GTX285 with 190.63 drivers. My Th2Go is epic FAIL . only a 4080x900 resolution for triplewide will come up, everything else is "windows error". Powerdesk 2.05 (latest) and the latest (ati addition) firmware for the box is installed.

I contacted Matrox and got the response that they will not enter into any troubleshooting for the TH2GO on Windows 7, it only works on XP (all resolutions) and Vista under 182.5 driver , DX9 only.

Matrox flatly refused ANY kind of beta sofware availability and claimed NO support for W7, although their compatibility tool comes up all greeen lights.

So, where is this "BETA" powerdesk of which you speak? I'll try this and the 190.58 dirver (assuming I can locate)

I'm not certain if my setup is complicated by a second 9800GTX video card set to Phys-X.

Here :

And the "190.58" the op is refering to is in fact the 190.56, the "real" 190.58 doesnt seem to work at all at 5040x1050.

Ok, the NVIDIA driver link from earlier in the thread came up as 190.57 (not 56 as it said it was) - I guess I'll try that one.

The "beta" powerdesk then is 2.04, which has been replaced by the 2.05 that isn't working for me.

Judging by how I had to go back to 182.5 to get it working under Vista64 (with powerdesk 2.05) I'm guessing the Nvidia drivers are the key here.

I couldn't get 182.5 to install under W7 as it BSD'd my OS.

Found a link to tweakforce 190.56 drivers, which I'll try later (probably before 190.57)

I cannot get the 182.5 drivers onto win7, try as I might. I uninstall my drivers and W7 automagically pops newer then the 182 in for me and I cannot prevent it from doing this.

This stops me from going back to 182.

Also, thr 182 driver package simply will not run, an error box pops up, doesn't matter which compatibility mode.

This might be as I'm on remote desktop at the moment - however the win7 automatic driver (186.xx) is annoying.

Right -
I've tried just about EVERY Nvidia driver out there with W7 x64.

Matrox tell me they WILL be supporting W7 when it gets released in October but for Vista ONLY 182.5 drivers will work.

My testing confirms this.

When removing drivers from windows it keeps picking up the 186.xx on it's own, but I finally managed to somehow get it to install 182.5

The NV control panel would not install, and attempting a re-install of the 182.5 package causes BSD every time.

I now have 5040x1050 57hz running, but due to the lack of control panel can't make any HZ changes. The 2.05 powerdesk doesn't cause the samsung panel nag that the beta did.

The "190.56" referred to in earlier posts I cannot locate anywhere, the nearest you can get from NV is 190.57 (not working) and the post I did to the TWEAK 190.56 - well that one fails too.

Windows update provides a 190.58 version if you leave it to update itself, and that doesn't work either.

It seems to me if powerdesk doesn't manage it first time, forget it....

I just get red "X" "windows error" at the applying mode (last three steps) of the matrox wizard with any driver other than 182.5

Any other suggestions? I've updated the firmware etc and cannot get any of the newer drivers on .
