The TripleHead2Go automatically chooses a single-screnn or triplehead output based on its input resolution. If you give it a 12:3, 15:4, 24:5, or 25:5 aspect ratio, it will display triplehead. If you give it 4:3, 5:4, 16:10, or 16:9, it will display single-screen. It even has dual-head modes that will display on two screens.

The firmware Matrox gave me is named TH2GODE_neworder.ren and is 440KB. I got this by email. I don't think any revised firmware is available on the Matrox website.

The 442KB NewOut.zip.pkg is the firmware file that member Mobster007 received in email from Matrox. He has uploaded it to Rapidshare for others to download.

Looks like there are at least 3 .pkg files out sent out from Matrox to end users:
(a) TH2GODE_neworder.ren (440KB) --to JKeefe
(b) NewOut.zip.pkg (442KB) --to Mobster007
(c) THV2_v2.3.32.t6.49.pkg (519KB) -- to guru3d

Anyone else here in this forum has received a different firmware file from Matrox?

(BTW, I find out that by running the GXMUtilities, it will show you the version number :D )

2 good news for me on the same day!

1 is that I finally get my TH2G setup to work. Now, the resolution is set at 3 x 1280 x 720 resolution but is scaled up to fill the screens. Although I dont get the native 1920 x 1080 for each panel (thus suffer from optimal image quality), the huge factor of immersion ( 23" x 120") is bloody incredible and more than compensates the less-than-optimal resolution. There are still a little kink that needs to work out but overall I am happy.

2, of course, is the newly release of firmware from Matrox. This is supposed to raise the max resolution from 3 x 1280 x 1024@60Hz to 3 x 1680 x 1050 (@ an odd 57Hz). So, this may become my next target resolution.

Thanks to those who have helped me along the way (esp to JKeefe).

If anyone has already tried the new firmware, please post some feedback in this forum.

This resolutions is not supported on ATI cards. The max is 1440x900.
