So I have the following

3 GX280s in SLI
4 GIG RAM

Matrix T2HGO upgraded firmware

Nvidia drivers 177.79
Windows Vista 32-bit SP1
Direct X 10

3 x Samsung 2243bwx LCDs via DVI

I have installed the Matrox SGU app as per instructions and can only set my desktop to 4080 x 1050

I cannot get the Matrox app to show me 1680x1050

The monitor in device manager shows "Matrox TripleHead2Go Edition" as per http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9215 thread

I am starting to wonder whether these new LCDs cannot show 57mhz?

Any clues? I am clueless after 4 hours of playing around

I believe your issue is the 177 series drivers.

Try my fix here (I know it's complicated) but it's worked for me multiple times.

Roll back to a 175.xx driver, reinstall the gxm, point your monitor driver to the gxm.inf, reboot, and you should have access under the "change" button. Anyway, the rest is in my post. Good luck.

Just thought about it, not sure if the 175.xx's will work with your GTX. Try them, but if it doesn't work, add the custom rez w/ ALL the settings in this picture (use manual to adjust the settings, ignore the "auto" in the screen shot- it's just so you can see the values). You will have to change the timing standard to "CVT reduced blank" to get your pixel clock and Horizonal Scan rates in the right neighborhood. From there, just switch it back to manual and fill in the other settings. Save and adjust your rez through windows or the nv panel, not the GXM. I have gateway 24" -inch'ers, so I'm sure our timings might differ, but try it anyway.

I'm using 177.83 PhysX/CUDA release drivers locked in a 57Hz on my Samsung 245BWs without issue.

Are you using GXM.inf as the display driver as mentioned in the sticky at the top of this subforum?

Just an update I swapped out the 3xSLI GX280s for SLI 9800 GTX cards and the 175.19 drivers and the TH2GO works fine at 1680x1050 on the three

I played for 5 days no problem.

I changed out the 9800TGXs tonight for fun with the GTX280 and the 175.19 drivers do not work for the 280 - went to 177.83 and the 3 modes DO NOT work at 1680 x 1050

Mach1.9pants and myself are both using 2 x SLI GTX280 SLi ... 5040x1050 but in XP ...
Maybe it is a Vista or a Tri SLi issue with the cards.
