I am considering dropping my old TH2G(VGA) setup 3x 940n Samsung

For TH2G(digital) and purchase 3x vx2262wm viewsonic

http://www.viewsonic.com.au/products/productspecs.php?id=352

The spec sheet lists the monitor as capable 50 - 76 Hz, so the Matrox 57Hz rquirement shouldn't be a problem I assume

I am running Vista 64bit and nvidia card and im not totally confident that it would work so any advice is much much appreciated :)

I'm thinking of getting this monitor too. Any input would be appreciated.

I have noticed many viewsonic models support atleast fv 50-75 or higher range and work fine with TH2Go. And I have not seen many not working.

svr, are you happy with your vx2262wm?

Yes, I have 3 of these now for about a week and they are great. No dead pixels, very minimal bleed, monitor has aspect ratio scaling options too and no damned osd error messages.

Colors could be a bit better but I found a color profile at digitalversus site and its pretty good now. Maybe I should get a calibrator some day.

I'm happy with this model and I would recommend it for anyone.

svr, thanks! The link to digitalversus is very helpful to those of us trying to make a choice. They have a good review system.

On the vx2262wm: I like, at least, how it looks (the curves).

Some users of various LCD monitors report humming which can be corrected by increasing brightness levels.

svr, are there any noise issues with this monitor?

Yes and no, at max 100 brightness it is silent but a bit too bright for my eyes. There is some buzzing noise if I drop brightness few steps. And it is silent at 60 brightness which is good for me.

This model also has speakers but I didnt bother with them.

Stand is just ok, could be more stable but it is not an issue if you got good table or wall mount.

Hi svr,

I'm looking to verify that the VX2262wm will fit the Ergotron Lx Triple Monitor Lift Stand.

Could I trouble you to verify that the *outside* width and depth dimensions of the VX2262wm are according to the listed spec (which doesn't mention that they are outside dimensions)?

Stated Viewsonic dimensions: 508.7mm(W) x 202.8mm(D) (x 440.6mm(H) I'm not interested in height)

From Dimensional illustrations (PDF) for the Lx Triple stand we have maximum outside dimensions of:
514.3 mm (w), 50.8 mm (D).

Thanks.

Reported specs are correct.

Could you report back if you get the stand and monitors. I would like to see it in action.

I've just posted 2009-01. The best 22" widescreeen all round monitor. (under "Hardware Discussions").

After a large round up of monitors I conclude that the ViewSonic VX2262wm seems to be one of the few worthy options. The only option for Australians. I have yet to purchase it, though, to confirm this first hand.
