I am running Windows 7 with a Geforce 285 (BFG Tech) Card on an Intel i7920 Quad Processor with 6 GB of RAM. Currently using a TripleHead2Go Digital in 5040x1050 rez -- with RC1 build of Windows. The system is a purpose built racing simulator for iRacing. I have been getting random freezes and today got a bluescreen on nvlddmkm.sys with this driver.

I am almost certain the cause of the freezes is something to do with the driver OS combo -- I dont believe it's the card over heating or any other issue on the system ...

My question is, has anyone been able to get another driver combo more current than 181.71 to work on Windows 7 with 5040 x 1050? I tried some of the 186.xxx and 185.xxx x64 drivers but couldnt get them to work.

It's frustrating to have the screen freezes and now the BSOD, so I need to come up with something to get things stable. Any help would be appreciated.

David

I have 182.50 working in Vista, but not 7. Others have it working in 7.

How about not using a cutting edge unreleased OS for a custom, specific purpose project? I assume Win7 (and I like it a lot, I toyed with it here too) doesnt actually offer you anything productive or useful in your endeavour.

Just got the 182.50 release working in 7 -- I will test that and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion.

I had the exact same problem when I got my previous rig (no th2go involved in this case). Random BSODs with the same nvidia file. Then, I found out that my 8800GTX card was more recent than the mobo Crosshair. So I just updated the mobo bios and everything was going well after that.

I hope this helps. :)
