Hi everyone,

My first post here. I really like the idea of 3 monitor gaming that the TripleHead2Go offers. Just saw that the ATI cards now support 5040X1050 resolution I am bout ready to make the purchase. I was eyeing the TH2GODP and the Palit 4070x2... But It looks like the TH2GO digital would work for me with my regular 4870x2

My Current setup:

Intel D5400XS
2 x Xeon5450 @ 3.6
Asus Ati 4870X2
8 gig
Gateway FHD2400

Monitors. I really like this monitor. It has been great for gaming. And love it for a desktop. So if I read this information right, posted by Mark B

"- Lack of general 5040x1050 resolution for all ATI HD series cards.
- Problem with the "DVI 4" output head not allowing 4320x900and 5040x1050 mode. (Now both heads of ATI boards will behave the same and will offer all modes properly)
- Fix to enable widemodes with multi-board crossfire configurations
- Fix to enable widemodes with X2 series ATI cards
- and a big final item: increased timing support for 5040x1050 mode with ATI cards to allow 5040x1050@59Hz in all scenarios. (This has been tested with most panels previously found not to sync with nVidia GPUs at 57Hz. Those panels now DO sync correctly at 59Hz)."

My video card and monitor SHOULD work right at 5040 resolution. I tested and it worked at 1680x1050 @ 59 Hz. It looks like I can get another pair of these 24" about the same cost as 3x22".
I really notice no difference other than lower resolution when running games at the non native 1900x1200, but the desktop is BLECH!. I want to run 2x24" monitors as native resolution monitors for desktop, then 3 for gaming.
So I my questions to yall that have the hardware are:

1. Am I correct in believing these monitors will run5040X1050@59Hz
Since I was able to switch resolutions to 1680x1050@59Hz?
2. My video card only has 2 DVI connectors, so is there anyway with
With a switch or something that I can quickly change between a 2
monitor desktop at native resolution to a 3 monitor TH2GO setup for
gaming?
3. Does the TH2GO have a pass through mode? So I can use it for
one desktop monitor and the other video output for the 2nd when
not gaming.

Sorry for the long post. And I appreciate any advice given.

Mark

1. I don't know. Check the stickies.

2. yes see q 3. [EDIT] Yes you can also use the feature of some displays to use two inputs. You can also use 3x 1920*1200 I think.

3. Yes this is single monitor mode. You can even choose which monitor you want to use in single monitor mode.

I'm quite new here, I also don't have a TH2GO
but from what I read and understood around here
the TH2GO device supports only 5040x1050@57Hz which is the reason why there is a sticky of LCDs that support 5040x1050@57Hz
(and beware it seems that some of them work with 1680x1050@57Hz while not supporting 5040 ...)
