Can a sim be set up for 3 monitors, using 3 video cards and it can become Triple head experience, with out using Triple head, just the cards? If so how to do this. I have Triple head, 2 x 8800 GT cards SLI. I would only need one more 8800 card, (disable SLI), thus would I need triple Head? If I have a 3rd card could run each monitor at higher resolution then Triple Head allow? To me the best way of achieving a higher resoloution, run each monitor on its own card, thus could run my sim at 1900 x 1200 vs Triple heads lower resolution per monitor. BOB looks good at the Matrox resoloution, thus my question is moot to some degree. Maybe the sims like BOB WOV are tweaked for Triple head. I am not computer savvy. The only thing I can think of is the 3 cards would show the same thing ie, just front cockpit, not sides, vs Triple Head showing more viewable area due to the way TH2G is designed. If this is a Matrox forum, my apologies for a non Matrox question. I appreciate Matrox and own the Triple head. Hopefully the reply will be, Keep using the triple Head, its the best way to do it. not trolling, just woundering how to get 1900 x 1200 across each of my 24" 245s Samsungs. If I can do this using Triple head, all the better, since Matrox is responsable for my very wide viewable and I am thankfull for Triple head to go! All responses appreciated.

There is software solution for triplehead gaming, witch doesn't require Matrox TripleHead2Go, but I don't have any personal experience with it.

SoftTH:

My guess to get it working without Triple head would be a dance, where as Triple head is more or less plug and go. I am not a computer tweeker due to time constraints, thus happy to own Triple Head. The software that comes with the unnit is easy to use and no problems, thus as mentioned my question is moot, but appreciate the response.

most of the games can only use 1 card...
with th2go and softth, the game see only 1 graphic card and it display on 3 monitors

i've heard that some flight sim can work with multiple card.
but i never try it.

Minor additional comment to the above. SoftTH you need 3 video outs, which means 2 cards. SoftTH is a DirectX hack that behaves much like horizontal-span of 2 screens does, but it's a bit harder to configure. SoftTH actually can span between 2 cards.

Thanks for the replies. One very, excellent feature of Three to go, plug and play vs plug and pray heh! I do like my 3 to go very much so. Makes setting up 3 monitors a breeze. After web searching and reading how to do it without Triplehead...triple head with the drivers, support and plug and go, is still top dog. I guess the 1900 x 1200 x 3 cannot happen unless the game or sim can provide the pixels to endow such a set up. Matrox has nothing to worry about as far as triple head. They rule. Nice to get additional information though.
