Yeah, I'm still getting my development environment back up since reinstalling. As soon as it's back up, this will be the first thing I do. And after that, I'll finish up getting Frontlines and Vegas 2 working. Then I'll be adding some other games. There's a big list on my hand. ;)

Actually Dope, the first thing you should do is image your drive! That way you can reload from scratch in as little as 15 minutes and not have to do the hokey pokey any time your dev system decides to misbehave.

As soon as the confirmation is posted that WSF sans HUD clears PB scans then I'll place my DTHGO order!

Cheers.

I was doing many installation tests and compatibility tests with XP SP3. I was also modifying files, replacing files, etc. from the installation. These all require full reinstalls to test. I don't like images because they get rid of the whole reason for doing a fresh format. ;) Not to mention that my reinstalls aren't very often, and the benefits to creating an image wouldn't work since by the time I'd actually have a use for the image, I'd probably have different hardware anyway. ;)

I'm pretty picky about my installation and compatibility, so I do plenty of testing when I get the opportunity.

This was a response to my inquiry to Evenbalance regarding DF's WSF app:

05/07/2008 02:06:49 - "***_****"

Note #4: Most versions of this application work without issue. However there was one version from quite some time ago that did trigger a violation. He has worked with us to try and make this not trigger one since then, and so far as far as we know, this has been the case.

Anyone willing to try COD4 online with WSF and report back to confirm?

They are talking about Battlefield in that aspect. This isn't a response to Call of Duty 4. :o

I know it's in regards to CoD4, but they gave you a BF2142 response. :)

Anyone else get a menu selection problem when Dopefish's fix is enabled?

If I run the game in 3840x1024 without activating the WS fix with the hotkey, I am able to navigate all the game menus without a problem.

However... once I activate the utility, I am only able to navigate via the mouse one level deep from the main menu. So, for example, if I select Graphics from the main menu, I get the graphics sub-menu. I can highlight all the options with the mouse pointer.... but left-clicking has no effect. I have to push the ENTER key to select what the mouse is over.

Once back to the top menu, all is well again.

Not a major problem, EXCEPT for selecting AF settings in-game as there is a slider bar which the ENTER key does not interact with.

Thoughts?

I set up a new one that does not modify the HUD at all and it still kicks for corrupted memory. I'll do some more testing, but I have some other games to work on for the moment. I'll see about getting this out there more.

I may be setting up a Wiki dedicated to this project, with source code and all. I am going to rewrite parts of it and get it into a better modular format so I can release certain source code and provide lots of information so other people can help out. :)
