Last game of this genre I tried was Mx vs. ATV Unleashed... and although it was all the fun of Motocross Madness + quads, the darn console port was capped at 30 fps :x

So, since I'm not grabbing the demo  can someone confirm that Pure has no framerate cap ? Any performance report (1680 vs. 5040) ?
Thanx ;)

Is capped at 60fps (vsync), but you can disable it by driver or other utilities like nhancer.

Paddy/Folks,

I received Pure a couple days ago and just installed tonight. As posted before upon entering the game you must do the short tutorial. Once completed, I was able to select the 3840X1024 right off. Game exited and restarted in all the TH2G glory.

I run a fairly decent system with dual GTX 8800 and 4GB ram. Dreaded loading times are a little long but on my system I'd say about 20-25sec.

Game runs with no slow down, no stutter. If it's 60FPS it's great.

Game is stunning, great looking tracks/courses. Wish it was two wheelers, but fun.

My only complaint is the tricks, as I'm a racing purist. I raced MX since 1975 through 2002 with a 15 yr break in between. I wish you could just have great racing. But it's a really fun game and well worth the $40US I sent to Best Buy though they did send me a $10US gift card on my next purchase.

All in all I say if you like quick fun racer with great looking graphics, you like this one.

Thanks guys for helping me on this one.

For the record, vsync and framerate cap are not the same thing ;) Anyway, glad to know this one ain't capped. (I didn't realize there were only quads though... I think I'll miss the bikes too...)
