I gave up AA and was able to fit in post-process high.. I get 33 min and 39.9 avg at 5760x1080.. post-process high enables the high quality HDR lighting that is only possible with DX 11.. the effects are rendered at full resolution rather than the 1/4 resolution they use in DX 9 mode, so really DX 11 is doing 4x the work of the dx 9 codepath. AA has a far bigger hit with post processing on High than it does on Medium. here's a good article on the difference between DX 9 and 11 and what they do in the demo - http://www.hardocp.com/article/2009/12/07/dirt_2_demo_dx11_performance_iq_preview For me, the visual fidelity increase from 9 to 11 is significant enough for me to deal with the framerate hit and loss of AA. If you want to force Direct X 9, look for this line in the hardware_settings_config.xml in My GamesDirt2Hardwaresettings Set that to "True" and start the game and it will run in DX 9 mode. You'll be able to have ~ 60 fps at 4x MSAA in DX 9 mode. |

I tried to turn off AA and my FPS did not change on the in game fps meter but probably game needs a reset or that meter is not accurate. I dont think with full native that AA is needed probably but also I didnt think it would really be much of a performance hit. I guess I need to FRAPS it and see. Looks like I will need to overclock to get your numbers since my res is a bit higher. |

We should race :D im totally noob too I can barely stay on the freakin course esp rally mode. I hope the kiddies are good for me so I get some drive time in today. I think this game is good enough that I can stick with it until I am good without getting bored. |

When my rear end starts to go and I find myself counter steering one way and then the other without fail it always leads to a spin out. Have not figured out how to recover. |

So does anyone here have SLI'd 5800 series cards that wants to give up a code for dirt? ;) Or maybe someone thats Anti-Steam.I found just that  namely a guy with two Ati cards and wishing to get some cash back by selling one coupon. So keep your eyes peeled folks, it actually happens ! |

Where do you set the HUD to be in the central position? I can't seem to find that option? |
