It sucks that Dx10/11 takes forever to load on 5x00 cards.

Yeah and you get all sorts of glitches if you try and run DX9

Are the mid-game cutscenes laggy for anyone else?

running at an fov of 85 at 1680 x 1050 and it looks good but the fov resets to the universal console fov of 55 after every cut scene. setting the file to "read only" does nothing and the 300 mb patch was useless in taking the consoleness out of this PORT.

I just started playing the single player campaign tonight and have noticed this as well. I've been experimenting with 100-120 FOV and the default is a zoomed-in mess. At least this shouldn't be an issue in multiplayer, but it's especially frustrating after dealing with this same sort of issue with the UT3 engine, although it was far worse then.

There's a BC2 FOV calculator here, if it hasn't been posted yet:
Battlefield: BC2 FOV Calculator

Enter your resolution, desired horizontal FOV, then enter the vertical FOV into your settings.ini file.

Wait? I've been adjusting the verticle FOV the entire time?

Whats 57x12 suppose to represent horizontally? 180 degrees?

Mine is now working.

It was after the first update that it started working. It didn't work in SinglePlayer though, and my version is STEAM bought.

The best way to test if it works, set it to 200, and see if it has an affect. you WILL be able to tell.

I use mine at FOV=70

I thought all the cutscenes were in-engine, not FMV... maybe I missed a couple?

I'm not sure that they were pre-rendered.. my FRAPS framerate fluctuated a lot during those scenes.. usually it stays locked to 30 or so on pre-rendered scenes due to the video framerate.
