Hi Guys ...
As you may have seen in this thread the Menus in the GRID demo are cut off top and bottom in TripleHead ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/8896

I have posted about this on the Codemasters forum in the hope they may take a look at the issue.

Please could you post your desire to have this corrected too.
The best way to do this is with friendly and polite lobbying ... they need to know there is a community of respectful TripleHead users out there wanting to play there game with the Menus corrected.

Here is the link to the thread on the Codemasters forum ...

Thanks guys .... 8)

Not a prob, I DL'd the demo and it looks awesome. But I would not buy it without TH2Go support, really. Do you know if it does TrIR support? I can't see anything that says it does:(

It worked guys ...
Hi guys - thanks for letting us know about the triplehead issues.

We've just made a couple of small code changes, and the menus and overlays will now all render correctly, even in ultra-widescreen resolutions :)

Sadly, the change won't make it in in time for the retail disk, but look out for a patch on launch day (or v. soon thereafter) with the fix.

cheers :)

Hey Mach1.9pants ...
I found a post on the Codemasters forum where a guy has TrackIR working ...
It's not a perfect solution but it may be of interest to you ... not only for this game but others that don't support it ...
...
You just have to use 2 other tools:

PPjoy:
http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/PPJoy.htm
This tool installs an virtual Joytick, when configuring 2 axes are enough.

tir2joy:
http://www.dikant.de/tir2joy/
this connects TrackIR with the virtual joystick.

Just follow the instructions and in the end only have to set your views as axes in GRID. I´m glad that GRID supports more than one gaming device.

Try it people, it will work...

Best regards!

Hey Paddy, thanks for that. TrackIR is so cool, such a pity it is not everywhere. (using it in ArmA to move your head around while running straight just increases immersion 10fold....esp on TH2Go!)
I'll look into it:)

Btw, Codemasters has released the list of changes and triplehead support is specifically listed, so, thx Codies. The fixed menu's is just icing on the cake to a game that already supported TH pretty well ootb.

The Patch is out today. Anyone try it? I'm waiting for the Valve version which should go live anytime now according to Valve....

I have it ...
The Patch fixes the menus ... :)
The patch does not fix the in-game HUD ... it still goes behind the bars between the screens ... :(

*sigh* I had a feeling it was too good to be true.

I guess we should appeal to the forum again and hope for the best.

What a bummer.

Maybe some community genius like Dopefish can figure out a fix.... :D
