Hi,

When i saw the last driver that allows wide screen resolutions, I immediatly bought my Digital Triple Head. I still have no LCD monitor. I think I will buy 3 22" but before I would read some feedback from other people how have such setup.

I have only one old 19" CRT, have mo LCD experience. Can every 22" widescreens support the 57 Htz ?

And does the 5040 X 1050 really work with FSX ?

I have a QX6600@3,3 Ghtz, 8800 GTX, 4 Go Ram and Vista64, could it be fine ?

Best regards

Simu67

I also bought TH2G Digital few days ago when I heard about 16:10 resolutions. I already had a 22" Acer AL2223W and I added two Samsung 2243BWX.

They all support 57Hz but the Samsungs always remind me to put the optimal resolution of 1680x1050@60Hz when I change the resolution or I go back to 57Hz.

For FSX, it is supposed to work, some people got it but I am still unable to choose 5040x1050 in the game. Matrox should be working on it as I understood in that thread : [url]http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/9326]

Guys,
I am building a new rig and I need some help from people with experience on 22 monitors with 1680x1050 on the TH2G and I will apreciate a lot if you can give me some advices to avoid buying something useless.

I do not have a huge selection of displays here in Brasil to choose and thos I can buy does not support 57hz (at least does not say in specs). But I hope that since they normally support 60hz it also support 57hz, does this work this way or not? I have a T220 from samsung that I like very much but it is only 59 and 60hz.

Is there a way to overide the standard refresh rate and downgrade it to 57 to use with TH2G?

Thank you for the help.
Felipe

If the monitor specs indicate it will not work at 57Hz or does not support 57Hz, then it will almost certainly not work with the TripleHead2Go.

I started that thread and I just updated it. There is a work around for getting the 3x1680x1050 to work in FSX... but then I lost my 2-D panel in all aircraft. I would stay away from that work around... hopefully Matrox will release something official... soon.

I am using 3 Samsung Syncmaster 2253bw monitors ... and I get the little message about optimal resolution as well... that is a minor inconvenience that will hopefully get cleared up. The 2-D panel 'disappearing act' is not minor... that was awful. I just submitted another tech support ticket about this issue. The Matrox people are usually prompt so I will post back when I hear something.

Any observations like this are sent to our gaming team for review but since this is the initial release, certain bugs where expected.

Hopefully all the issues will be ironed out with the following release of SGU or FS patches.

I called Matrox, just to let them them know there was one more person who wanted the new resolutions to work in FSX and IL2. I concur, they gave me the same answer. They said they do have contact with most all companies who's gamessimulations run on TH2G and that their gaming department would be looking into these issues and to look for a possible patch either from Matrox or the games publisher. For UBISOFT IL2 though, my guess is if Matrox can not fix it, I doubt UBISOFT1CcompanyOleg Maddox will patch it since they are busy with their up and coming S.O.W. simulation. Will be keeping my fingers crossed that Matrox will be able to find a fix.

I have FSX working in 5040x1050x57Hz on My Samsung 2053BW's. I even have 3D cockpit (I use FreeTrack, so I _know_ it's 3D).

The only limitation is that I cannot use the DX10 preview, but since it's slower anyway, I am plenty happy as-is.

I have 3 Acer B223w 22" monitors. They WILL NOT work at 5040 x 1050 even though Matrox said that they would. I bought these because of their referral!

I can only get to 3840 x 800. Doesn't look bad but not like it should. The monitors get an image at 5040 x 1050 but there is a floating box that says "input not supported"

Any thoughts? Can the monitors be adjusted and I am missing that?
