| Post subject: | SDK for TH2G? |
I'm really new here and trying to find my way around. My question is, is there an SDK or other dev tools for making games work with TH2G? I have a friend that has the source code for 4x4 Evo2 and he and his group are developing 4x4 Revolution. Not sure whether to call it a mod or an update but I tested triple head on it for him today and it works but the view is like wearing magnifying glasses (you're too close to everything) Any tools that you can direct me to would be appreciated. AFAIK there is no SDK for TH2Go. All that is needed for TH to work is having the game HOR+ i.e. if you change the resolution it just adds the extra pixels. From what you have described the game is VERT-, meaning the games engine zooms in (loosing vertical FoV) if the res set is WS. Obviously with TH this is really really bad, it makes many games unplayable. see here To change the engine to HOR+; I don't know bevause I am a software numpty. However even when games have been released VERT- (like, famously, Bioshock) clever people out there have worked out hacks/fixes to sort it out. Like Racer_S |

PapaLes, You need to tell your developers that the game field of View needs to be user-adjustable, or it needs to scale with the horizontal resolution (not the vertical resolution). |
