no one would

reason being that if u use a big ass screen lik 42inch or even anything above 32inch and set it to 1650x1050 res u get a shit load of blur with text and will strain ur eyes big time.

:)

really?

I think projectors are better because in class they have a like 100 ft 4:3 projector/screen at 1024x768 and it looks pretty good. since projectors don't have "native resolution"

I did a search on the new.

but I never seen any extreme setup for FPS games..

LCD / DLP projectors have native res. Only CRT projectors dont, like CRT monitors. They do have a very specific range of resolutions in the "sweet spot" however.

I have a 90" projector screen and anything below 720p looks fairly stupid. 1024x768 would look like ass. Its native res is 1080p (Hitachi HC5000).

I use 3 28" I-INC lcd's. with th2go and ati 4870. I like it for the most part but can't get the 3x1680x1050 the Nvidias get. I'm at 3x1440x900  The only thing that I don't like are the stretched menu's but for game play it can't be beat.

I think LCD tv + triple head would be a waste of cash. On the other hand projector is way more immersive.

I've done TH2G projector. My setup isn't currently installed though. TH2G and dual head projector setups are common with simulator builds. I have 3 inFocus SP5000 and a TH2G analog. You need a good sized open space in a room that is large enough to handle the throw distance of 3 seperate projectors. That's harder than it sounds to achieve.

Here's my setup:

There are a few good examples of triple-head projection over at http://www.mycockpit.org in thier gallery.

I´ve seen a 3x30" setup. He played car sims at both 7680x1600 / 4800x2560. And all with a 9800gx2 (he believed at first SLI was working), so really was at a 8800GT 512MB level for such a massive res.

I´m planning a similar rig. It would work depending on game with th2go at 3x1680x1050 / 3x1440x900 or with softt 3x2560x1600 / 3x1600x2560 (not surround games/movies) for older games/sims.

It will use two inputs for each monitor (and a third for other uses), and switching between both modes (th2go & softt) and surround/widescreen (only with softth).
