Post subject:  Spoiled by Eyefinity? Can you go back?

After over a week of glorious multi-monitor gaming, I personally find it hard to play anything without it.

Personally, I find this rather disappointing, cause there are alot of games I wanna play that dont support eyefinity. Many of these are console games, like uncharted 2. I dont know whether to wait for a PC Port (extremely unlikely), or just put up with 16:9. I guess it would be more appealing if I had a huge TV, but I spent all my $ on eyefinity instead.

Anyone else find it hard to go back?

Extremely hard, I bought a 32" to try and make up for it and it's far from making it up.

I've had 3-screen Eyefinity since early/mid October, I have not started a game on my PC in single monitor mode since then.

No way jose. I'm passing on pretty much any PC game that doesn't have Multi-mon support.

Why would I intentionally ever buy a game that is incompatible with my hardware? :nudgenudge

Also, the big display option simply doesn't cut it. I want gaming window interface space and surround aspect ratio advantages. Big screen has no aspect ratio advantage at all. Unless you're talking 30" panel, you aren't getting any gaming windows interface space either.

I don't have eyefinity so I will not vote, but this reminds me of early widescreen gameplay. When people bought a widescreen monitor they often found it incredibly aggrivating to play a game with no widescreen support at all and have the black bars on the side. Personally to me a great game is a great game and I will play it, be it in 4:3 or 16:9 or wider.

Problem is some games simply barf on loading when they detect surround-screen resolutions. It's not always merely a matter of playing a game with black bars. It's more a matter in many cases will it run at all.

Can't you disable the other two monitors for those games?

I dont think the leap from 4:3 to 16:10 is nearly as dramatic as the leap from 16:10 to 48:10, but I see your point.
