Is there a way to set the half life 1 engine to support surround?

I tried the -w -h to boot options as well as adding vid_config_x 5760 vid_config_y 1200 to config files, but neither works.

sorry if you already tried/knew this but did you change the aspect ratio in game?(i.e. from 4:3 to 16:9 or 10)

Yes, it allows me to change it to widescreen, and I can set it to 19x12, but no more.

Ultra-wide res options are under 16:9 I believe, make sure you check there if you haven't. 19x12 is 16:10 which is why I think you might be missing it.

And yeah, if not playing Source you really should.

Cause the game I want to play is natural selection, which is a HL1 mod. So I figure if I can figure it out for HL1, I might be able to do it for mods.

There is no 16:9 or 16:10, just "normal" and "widescreen".

Guess that is only the source version then. I am guessing due to the existance of the Source port no one really bothered to examine the original engine. You probably have to play your mod on one screen for now.

shortly after Duke Nukem Forever.

Thus nuking its sales and making 3d Realms go back to the drawing board never to be heard from for 50 years
