Alright, so, as the title says, if this is in the wrong section, I apologize. :D

So, I have made the leap into multi-monitor gaming, and I have done my best to find the information I need, but I yield, I need some good old fashioned human help.

I'll make this short and sweet, I got a 5670, eyefinity works fine and dandy, just having some issues with tweaking my games, I know there's an FoV calculator on this site, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out, I have many games that are giving me trouble, but for sake of example, Modern Warfare 2, I have tried the Widescreen Fixer program, it worked in CoD 5, World at War, but for some reason, it doesn't do a darn thing in 4 or 6, it does not change the AR or FoV, so I used UnleashMW2 on MW2 to break into the console (I don't care about multiplayer, I just want to play campaign and spec ops properly) and I forced the FoV to be everything from 65-120, but nothing looked right, so for future reference, for a 4536 x 900 res (3x 1440 x 900 monitors, with bezel compensation) what is my Aspect Ratio (5:1, a friend told me, but I'm not entirely sure) and my ideal FoV?

To expand on that, in the FoV calculator, I don't really get what I'm supposed to enter for default res, default hFoV, etc.

I appreciate the help in advance!

Moving posts is never a problem... better use that topic title to sum up your issues ;)

1440x900 is 16:10.
4320x900 is three times that i.e 48:10 (or 4.8:1).
4536x900 is a tad wider than that: 50:10 (or 5:1, your friend was right!). To be very specific, it's actually 126:25, according to FOVCalc ;)

To use FOVCalc you also need to know the default FOV of the game... Then it's cheesecake:
Default res (1024x768) + default hFOV (different for every game, should be 65 for MW2) + new res (4536x900) = new hFOV.

However the real problem with MW2 is not the FOV. The game must be forced to use your multi-monitor aspect ratio and not stretch the picture. (The right FOV won't look right if the AR is not right to begin with, right ? ) This can only be achieved with WSFixer... And if your game is fully patched, you'll have to kindly wait until dopefish releases an updated version of the fix.

Ahh, thank you, I had tried MW2 Unleashed on a pirate copy of the game I keep around (I own the game, I just like having a DRM-free copy that I can screw around with) but I didn't try WSFixer on that, due to it saying it didn't work on em. Gahh, IW/Activision, why do you have to be so damn arrogant?

Kind of changing the topic here, but I am using three different monitors (they're all the same size/res though) and they have different stands, and of course, wildly different heights (bezels are not an issue though, I made sure to measure before I bought the last one, :D) So the problem is, I have these things leveled (kinda, an inch or two off on both sides) but this isn't really working, I'm using an xbox 360 for the far left, three books and two dvd cases for the center (and its starting to worry me, not exactly very stable) and one large book for the far right, besides being unsightly, this will be a huge pain to move, which we are doing within a month, anyhow, I have been looking at various ways to mount these, and hopefully level them all a bit more easily, but all the stands that I'm seeing are 150-1000 dollars, for that price I could buy identical monitors, but I'd rather avoid that. So does anyone know of some good cheap triple monitor stands? Or desk mountable arm mounts, I found these for 40 bucks, but I'm not sure if they'd work with a desk, http://www.ziotek.com/templates/SearchDetail.asp?productID=4374

Does anybody have some reccomendations/feedback? Should I get mounts, or just save for a good half a year and hope to God they still have some Acer X193w's floating around?
