I am interested in setting up a home theater system for gaming with eyefinity and 3 projectors. I have been trolling around on the internet and it seems that the only way to do this properly is to use "edge Blending" software. I found a couple of software apps that do this but they are very expensive. SOL7 is 4000 per projector. While Easyblend is 2500 per projector. This is too much money obviously.

Has anybody developed an open source tool or found a commercial tool that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount of money?

I found something that was marketed as "truly affordable"... and then they mentioned a £32k price tag. So, yeah, not so affordable.

Couldn't see anything else other than what you've already turned up, though. :(

The problem is you ran into the commercial version pricing. ImmersaView Sol7 non-commercial version for $430AU. Will currently do up to 3 projectors. TH2G compatible. It's the cheapest you'll find. I use it and it works good with movies using VLC and most DirectX and OpenGl games.

Digging up an old thread,

I managed to get an edge blending and warping software called Warpalizer.....somebody from there posted a video response to my 3 screen gaming rig video on youtube and I now have seamless 3 screen projection :) It costs 150 Euros per channel and works like a charm for me. I guess technology has caught up with the price. They are at http://www.univisual.se/warpalizer

A 3 projector setup would cost 450 Euros. They are pushing a promo discount if you give them discount code "002", a discount of up to 50 euros per channel, a bloody good deal....I am a very happy customer :)

I have posted my build videos on the Hello thread at:

Cheers!
