| Post subject: | FX 8150 & SLI Surround Problem! |
I tried a new AMD FX 8150 black edition chip in my hypersim this weekend. Was hoping for some improved playability, faster loads ...etc... anyway..i could not for the life of me get surround to work with this chip installed ? it kept freezing everytime i tried to set sli surround up! then after i reboot, and click in the nvidia control panel, i get mssg stating that there was NO nivida gpu on this machine! so then i had to reinstall the newest drivers again to get regular montior and resolutions back ? i did this about 4 times and decided to put the old quad core phenom chip back in..and bang instantly had surround back and running? the asus crosshair v motherboard has the newest bios installed. 1102 newest drivers from nvidia..196. and win7 64 bit with all updates installed. anyone here running the 8150 with surround at all ? it seems you can enable sli, but as soon as you try and span for surround. freezes and then knocks the drivers out ? eventually it dumps u back to a desktop at 640 x480! thanks to anyone that knows anything about this. |

Make custom resolutions and make sure your drivers are up to date. Your current nVidia driver version is 196?????? They are already up to 304.79 bro. 304.79 Install those using Advance settings and do a Clean install. |
