I'd been using a 30" display lately but only in multiplayer games I reverted back to my triple monitor setup and went to download flawless and Google Chrome is now blocking it. What's the problem?

At first I thought this might be because of the downloaded file being an .exe file, however the same thing happens with the .zip file also.

Will try flag this with its author.

Some of these tools get flagged as false positives for viruses, since they alter files. We get this from time-to-time on the game-specific fixes we host.

Similar situation with some detailed explanation:

It's frustrating and unfortunate, but will likely be an ongoing fact-of-life for any devs or communities who create or host such software. Hopefully HaYDeN won't have to jump through too many hoops for a workaround.

I don't see what the problem is...
I can download and install FWS perfectly fine and Chrome doesn't "whinge" about anything...

Interesting.... thanks for raising this tinmann.

This appears to be a new initiative by Google that they've rolled out just recently - eg. search "google rolls out new malware"

Just to be sure, I've investigated the logs, can't see any evidence of any intrusion, no changes to any files, checked all the FWS related files and they all correctly match the expected MD5 hashes... eg, same files that have been there for many months.

I've requested a review by Google.
