I'm thinking about purchasing a laptop for myself soon, but I really have no idea where to look/where i could get the best deal. I don't want a netbook (keyboard is too tiny for my hands). I would mostly use it for homework/programming/Netflix streaming to an HD tv, so I would like for it to have an HDMI out. I would like for it to be able to play TF2 also, but its not exactly a necessity. I pretty much know to avoid any Intel graphics chips if I want to play any Direct3D games. Any suggestions of sites to buy through or which companies to look into/models to be interested in? Also, are there any specs I should specifically look for? I'm trying to spend $500-$600 or less.

If you can afford to wait, watch the slickdeals RSS feed like a hawk. They usually have some great deals on laptops. When you see one you like just check out it's reviews with google and pull the trigger. That's how I got my laptop and it will probably be how I get my next one too.

According to me you can choose from wide range of avaliable varieties of laptops taking in to consideration following things such as

1.Brand preferred.
2.Features required.
3.Performance.
4.Suits to budget.
