In the sig vvv

It's at my desk and I can't be sitting more than 4.5 feet away from it, which is probably much too close, but my god is it glorious :D

nice!

how are you finding it?

was looking at the UE40B6050 (the European LED one) myself. just wondering on the input latency problems that the old one had. saw one playing a bluray disk and the picture was amazing. really nice to see how thin the blighter is :)

Excellent with one minor issue. It does have a single stuck pixel. It's completely unnoticable at normal viewing distance, and only visible at unusably close viewing distance on a black background, but it's there nonetheless. :?

Other than that it's awesome. Incredible contrast for normal CCFL backlit LCD. Some people are reporting this set has a high output lag, but I can't notice any. Reponse seems immediate to me and it hasn't affected my online play in the slightest.

The new LED backlit sets are great, but the price difference isn't justified in my opininion. The market price difference between the CCFL B650s and the LED B6000s is about $800-900. I've seen the sets side by side in stores, and while the LED sets do have an amazing picture - easily the best of any LCD panel I've ever seen - they're not $800 better than the B650s. If the price difference was closer to $300-400 I think that would be reasonable, but right now you're paying a rather hefty premium for the new tech.

here your looking at 15000-16000 SEK for say a Sony 40" W5500 set.

and then like 19000 for the 40" LED lit samsung. Its going on a bedroom wall, so having it hang of half of the sony's thickness (before you add the wall bracket) is gonna be really nice.

the only slight thing thats annoying me (thinking of the future) aparently the TV has mpeg4 decoding for both DVB-T and DVB-C (Terestrial Aerial and Cable). However, you cant get HD Cable services with it, only mpeg2 ones. And where we are atm is an "old" apartment with cable only afaik. So looks like we either need to get another box or whatever.

I used to work in england (before moving here) selling and installing all sorts of TV's, the samsungs seemed a bit slow and clunky when changing channels sometimes, guess ill need to get used to that as the sony LED screens are well out of price range here (like 24000 SEK).

Slightly annoying that you still need a seperate box, remote control and cabling if you want HD in a HD capable set. Seems silly why you cant just pay extra for the bits to already be inside (whatever licence fees are needed etc).
