I've moved this into the hardware section as it didn't really have much to do with whether widescreen fixer is allowed by EB :P

Ergotech:

With this mount here - http://www.ergonomicbusinesssolutions.com/product.asp?specific=646 - can you reconfigure it to have the three screens at the top and one at the bottom?

Thanks,

Tim

I really appreciate the offer and 20% is a nice discount but when something cost $350 - http://www.ergonomicbusinesssolutions.com/product.asp?specific=641

20% still puts it far out of reach :'(

Guess I have to tell the kids santa took back half the presents and got daddy a new monitor mount lol... (just kidding I would never do that)

As you know Vicious, quality costs money, always will be like that.

Just buy it for a relation for chrismas, and when they ask what they will do with it, just say, oh well, if you don't have a use for it, I can probibly use it, and offer to get something else for them.

Or wrap it up for yourself and pretend you don't know what it is. And forget what it cost ;)

I new somebody would say something along the lines of "high quality cost high money" and thats true, to an extent. Once you reach a certain point though you start to pay for the exclusiveness of a brand or the rarity of the item especially nitch market items.

Metal fabrication is a process that is pretty mastered these days, its kind of hard to mess up the quality but thats ok if I cant roll with the big boys and there nice toys I'll be happy to have what I have. It took me several years to finally get my surround setup and for finally having it I should be greatfull.

When I fitted TV's, the quality of the brackets varied a lot. When the big brands had a cheap wall mount, it felt cheap generally. When a small company had an expensive bracket, from my experience it was generally a very well engineered piece of kit.

http://www.vogels.com/web/Consumer/Products/Products/EFWE-6455-RC-GLIDER-WALL-SUPPORTC.htm

That was about £400, iirc, we had a 46" Panasonic Plasma on it, in an alcove that was about 2.5cm wider than the TV. We fixed sturdy wooden battens to the wall to mean that the front of the TV was flush with the front of the alcove when in the return position.

We had no problems walking away, safe in the knowledge that TV felt solid as a rock.

That is where the money goes. Some people charge an arm and a leg for a bracket that is crap, at least with ErgoTech you get something that is good quality :)

I wall mounted my 37" with a $20 bracket from monoprice and its absolutely bomb proof, the TV itself will break into a million pieces and the whole wall will go down before a single part of that mount breaks.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082801&p_id=3900&seq=1&format=2

Has tilt too. Goes to show what I mean. That same mount will cost $100+ just if it had a name on it.

Tim- regarding your configuration question for Ergotech, the answer is "yes".
This product can have 1 monitor above three, or three monitors above 1. Here's the link again.

Hope this helps. Please be in touch with any questions.
