Is there any real difference between the two?

I was thinking about getting a Xi-Fi Titanium (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102024) with the PCI Express x1 interface to replace my Xi-Fi Fatality PCI card. The PCI Express x1 slot on my motherboard is in a much better location install wise. Is there any real performance or power difference?

I looked into this a while back, and there doesn't seem to be noticeable difference in quality or power consumption. I'd just get whichever suits your build.

My only concern would be proximity to the video card if you were to go with PCI-E. And paranoia of breaking the teeny PCI-E connection. The Fatal1ty cards I've handled have been surprisingly hefty.

Be sure to grab the X-Fi drivers I mentioned in the software section. They're fantastic.

Though, I havne't looked at the official drivers in a while.

I will have about two inches between the card edges if I use the PCI Express over the PCI. The case is an Antec p180 so the rear slot covers are open for airflow.

The problem with the current PCI card is that it has the wiring from the case and PSU squashed up against it.

Thanks for the input.

EDIT - I am still running XP. I think those drivers are for Windows 7.
