i am not a hardcore gamer per se, but I think there are some experts here that might be able to help me with my project idea.
Next week I am talking to an architect to begin buliding my house. In my house plan, I have a 7m wide dome planned that will be my bedroom. The idea is to wake up to the sunrise from atop a volcano above the clouds.... or in a tropical forest or a coral reef.. fully immersive.
At night you might see the sunset at the beach as if you were there.. or a starlit sky.
Now the room has no windows and so the brightness doesnt have to compete with daylight, which helps a little.
I am thankful for all experience and ideas concerning:
What is the minimum resolution required across the 180°? HD? 4K? Higher?
Multiple projectors or one very bright one with a 180°fisheye lens? what projector? what lens?
What software will help me display 360 youtube videos to videos to display?
Any idea how to build the dome? 7m wide?

the attachment shows the house plan. the round thing is the 7m room. The bed is 4.2m x 2.2m by comparison.
