I was at SIGGRAPH this past week in Vancouver and came across the product called perception neuron. It works with 10-30 IMU sensors attachable to specific body parts or entire bodies and extremely easy to handle. I was really taken aback by how small the sensors were and how it worked on WIFI. The real kicker of the project is that it's only $200 to start with 10 "neurons." I was blown away with the responsiveness and the fact that it's so accessible and portable. the guys from Virtualizer and ControlVR even wanted to talk to them. The system is great 'cause it is compatible with Oculus, Unity, Unity opensource and SDK. I'm really excited to see what these guys are going to do in the coming months. I'll post a link to their kickstarter so you can see for yourselves and help get this project on the road.
