Hi,

So I recently received a Radeon HD 5750. I had purchased myself 2 Dell 2209WA 22" (IPS) monitors a few months ago. I had been using a Radeon HD 3400 (still connected) in addition to my onboard HD 3300. Also using 37" HDMI connected LCD TV and old 19" monitor.

Now that I also have the Radeon HD 5750 I was hoping to use eyefinity to game with the 2 Dell 2209wa's via DVI - DVI.

Now I am thinking I need a third monitor to take proper advantage of eyefinity. I was thinking of going with a Dell P2210 22" (TN panel) which has a displayport connector on it and using a displayport cable to connect to the Radeon HD 5750. The Dell 2209wa does not have displayport connector.

You think this is the way to go or just get another Dell2209wa but then I think I need a 200 dollar active dp to dvi or something. thanks.

In this case try the 2210 with displayport. The adapter might cause flickering. You can read about it here:

Well you could get another IPS panel and get a DP->VGA adapter for about $20 from monoprice. I'd go that way, because I'd hate to try and match colors on two different panels (My first setup had all the same monitors, but the panels were all different and I could never match them).

I'd have to agree with above, in getting another of the IPS panels.

I had 2 2209WAs, and was waiting on a third, and had to use a 19" TN as my middle monitor. NOT fun trying to get things to match/look correctly color wise.

I now have the 3 matching 2209s and they rock. You won't be dissapointed! :rockout

Ah ok. Just thought 2210 is IPS too. OK I'm in: Don't mix different panel technologies. :)

I ordered the Accell adaptor from Amazon. It was 100.00, but it has worked flawlessly for me, so no complaints! 8)
