Hello

I'm wondering what my next upgrade should be; and need some input on my current rig, to decide for new graphic card(s) - or maybe other main components (MB-CPU etc)

Current rig:
Mother Board: ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, X58, Socket-1366
CPU: Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-920 (3.8Ghz Clock)
Main HD - Corsair SSD Performance 3 Series? 128GB
Memory: Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 12GB CL8
Graphic Card: ASUS Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5

I'm running 3xBenQ 24? LED G2420HDBL - On a XFX Tri-stand.

Is my current CPU-Memory sufficient to run multi monitor games after eventually upgrading graphic card(s).

I'm after better performance without using to much money; because there isn't a lot of it. Is the best upgrade buying another HD 6970 (which would force me to buy a new chassis) or two new cheaper cards etc.

CPU is Fine (@3.8ghz!!)
MB is fine
RAM is Fine.

So you don't have enough GPU power in Tripple Monitor? You have to. Low FPS?

Then Upgrading your GPU alone should be fine!
If you dont have enough Space for a 2nd 6970(PCI-E Slots?) you might get away cheaper with selling your 6970 and buying a 6990 instead of new MB+Case.
Or buy a 7970! Around 15-10% less performance than a 6990.
Or wait for 7990 to release but that thing is gonna be hella expensive!

Hehe; i bought this beast for clocking :)

Works like a charm!

There is some framerate issues; BF3 drops in 64 player conquest etc; ruins the whole impressive experience :p

Well my current chassis is just to small (To support two "heavy cards")
But yeah, you just confirmed what I feared; I reckon I`ll start saving for a new chase (and graphic card(s)
